This hotfix contains 6 fixes for specific issues which haven’t yet been included in the most current Rollup Update. Most notable fixes are:

• When you move the mouse pointer over a person’s name or a contact card in an email message that is created by a “mailto” link in Outlook 2010, another compose email message appears.
• When you add a user who has a certificate to contacts in Outlook 2010, Outlook may crash.

The Exchange Team has announced higher scale and functionality improvements for Public Folders in Exchange 2013.

The scale improvements mean that, starting with Exchange 2013 CU6, environments with more than 10.0000 Public Folders are no longer unsupported. Starting with CU6, this limit will be increased to up to 100.000 folders. In a later CU update, they aim to increase this limit to at least 1 million folders!

Once these scalability issues are out of the way, they’ll focus on adding support for accessing Public Folder Calendars and Contacts via Outlook Web App (OWA).

Sadly, no word so far on re-introducing direct browsing of Public Folders in OWA so you still have to use the very unintuitive and cumbersome method of adding each and every Public Folder that you wish to access via the Favorites section.

Cumulative Update 5 for Exchange 2013 is now available for direct download. It contains a total of 15 documented fixes.

The most notable change is fix is that Exchange now has Dedicated OAB Generation Mailboxes. You can read more detail about that in OAB Improvements in Exchange 2013 Cumulative Update 5

Update Rollup 6 for Exchange 2010 Service Pack 3 is now available for direct download. It contains a total of 11 documented fixes.

Notable fixes are:

• KB2925273 Folder views are not updated when you arrange by categories in Outlook after you apply Exchange Server 2010 Service Pack 3 Update Rollup 3 or Update Rollup 4
• KB2924592 Exchange RPC Client Access service freezes when you open an attached file in Outlook Online mode in Exchange Server 2010
• KB2928703 Retention policy is applied unexpectedly to a folder when Outlook rule moves a copy in Exchange Server 2010

This hotfix contains 3 fixes for specific issues which haven’t yet been included in the most current Rollup Update. 

• Assume that you are the delegate for another user, and both of you have the Personal Archive feature enabled. You right-click the user’s mailbox, then click Properties, and then you click the Policy tab. Not all content is displayed correctly.
• When you move an email message by dragging it over a folder, the color that the folder changes to is difficult to distinguish from the other folders.
• Programmatic changes to the email body may be lost when using the Attachment.Add method for Rich Text email message.

This hotfix contains 2 fixes for specific issues which haven’t yet been included in the most current Rollup Update. 

• The AttachmentSelectionChange event isn’t raised when you have turned off the attachments previewers.
• No results are being returned when using Find Related-> Message from Sender and the contact’s display name contains one or more hyphens (-).
